- Google adds a small semi-transparent sparkle logo to the bottom-right corner of images generated by Gemini (also known as Nano Banana). This visible watermark is applied via alpha blending. There is also a separate invisible SynthID watermark embedded in the pixel data.

- GeminiWM uses reverse alpha blending — a mathematical formula that precisely reverses the watermark compositing. Because the watermark pattern is known, the original pixels can be recovered with zero quality loss. No AI or inpainting needed.
- Does this remove the invisible SynthID watermark?
- No. SynthID is an invisible statistical watermark woven into the image generation process itself. It cannot be removed without degrading the image. GeminiWM removes the visible sparkle watermark only. We are transparent about this — any tool claiming to remove SynthID losslessly is misleading.
- Do my images get uploaded to a server?
- Never. GeminiWM processes everything in your browser using the Canvas API. Your images never leave your device. You can verify this by checking the Network tab in your browser's developer tools — zero image data is transmitted.
